The tires are Dunlop D01J's... brand new, and only available in Japan. They are basically racing tires that are street legal... just like the Yokohama A032R's. They are WAY stickier than all of those high performance street tires out there (AVS sport, AVS intermediate, S-02's, SP9000, etc. etc.)... they are in a totally different class. Also, like the A032R's, they are "S" compound tires (hard compound), so that they should last about 10,000 miles of mixed street driving with occasional track use. FYI, A032R's have a UTQG wear rating of 60-80... other tires like Hoosier autocross tires have a UTQG of 0, and Yokohama AVS Sport are UTQG 180. Anyways, I would have liked to get the A032R's, but they don't make them in 18" size. A real rough estimate on cost is about $225-250 per tire for 265/35/18's, and then on top of that there's shipping from Japan (which I guess will be something like $50 per tire).
